If Newcastle United had completed the signing of Christian Pulisic during the summer, it would have been heralded as a perfect window.

The Magpies ended the summer an attacker light, despite spending months in the pursuit of a winger.

One player who was linked was Chelsea’s Pulisic, who was unsettled at Stamford Bridge under the management of Thomas Tuchel.

The American was linked with a loan move that never materialised, despite Newcastle being ‘obsessed‘ with signing the £58million superstar.

Pulisic remained at Chelsea, and will hope to feature more under new manager Graham Potter. But if not, he could be linked with a move away once again.
