A report in the Sun claims Crystal Palace are lining up a January loan deal for young Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster, but Newcastle should also make a move.
With our current woeful record in front of goal, and having only notched a solitary strike from a forward this season, a talent like Brewster could be just the answer Steve Bruce is looking for.

Newcastle still have plenty of January options, with them not finalising a domestic loan deal in the summer, and bringing the 19-year-old to Tyneside would be a fantastic opportunity.
There would be no chance of inserting an option to buy into any deal, so it would be one strictly to help the development of the player, but Newcastle would be the mutual beneficiaries.
Brewster played in Liverpool’s incredible 5-5 draw with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup the other night, and while he did not bag a goal during the 90 minutes, he overcame immense pressure to slot home his penalty in the shoot-out.

He has netted for times in seven games for the Liverpool Under-23 side, and is clearly ready to get more regular first-team football under his belt.
Brewster’s only chance of senior experience is a loan move
With the array of attacking talent Jurgen Klopp has at Anfield, he is unlikely to get many minutes on the pitch there this season, so a temporary move away would be the perfect scenario.

The report also claims, as well as Roy Hodgson’s interest, Championship sides Swansea and Bristol City are keen to do a deal, as well as teams in Germany.
But should Newcastle declare an interest, surely the lure of playing at St James’ Park in front of more than 40,000 fans every week, would see us head the queue of potential destinations.
If Bruce only has a limited budget to play with, he may rely on a couple of loan moves to increase his squad options, and if that is the case, Brewster’s name should be printed in bold at the top of the list.
