Newcastle United will qualify for the Champions League this season.

Currently third in the Premier League table, the Magpies have enjoyed an incredible start to the campaign.

After 15 games played, Eddie Howe’s side have accumulated 30 points. Sensationally, they have lost just one league game all term. This means they have the joint-best defensive record in the division, alongside frontrunners Arsenal.

In all areas of the pitch, the Toon have looked stunning. At the back with Nick Pope in goal, standouts Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman have dominated with their brilliant leadership qualities. In the middle of the park, Bruno Guimaraes has been a revelation since arriving on Tyneside. In attack, Miguel Almiron has been exceptional – having played the best football of his life at St James’ Park.

With the way the side have been playing, there is a great chance of finishing in the top four and securing the all-important Champions League qualification.

Newcastle will finish fourth

The Magpies are just one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, and three four points in front of Manchester United, who have a game in-hand over them. Furthermore, Liverpool currently trail in sixth.

Therefore, the battle to finish in the top four will be an extremely competitive challenge.

However, the Toon have shown no reason to assume that they cannot maintain their electric form and stay where they are until the end of the season.

Howe’s squad have suffered from a number of injuries thus far this term, and they have seemingly been unaffected by this – with results still going their way.

Tottenham have looked inconsistent at times under Antonio Conte. Consequently, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Spurs drop in and out of the top four.

The same goes for Man United, who often seem to collapse after a run of good form.

Therefore, if Newcastle hit the ground running, there is no reason they cannot be challenging for Champions League qualification at the end of the season.

Howe has instilled an incredible mentality at St James’ Park, and this has certainly rubbed off on both the fans and the players.

With a few signings in January to add squad depth, the Tyneside club will be more than equipped to fight until the very end.

Therefore, we think the Magpies will finish fourth in the Premier League this season.
