Newcastle United have been linked with a January move for Ismaila Sarr.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who state that the new Toon owners want to make the Watford winger one of their first signings.
They might have a fight on their hands though, as the report states that the Hornets are keen to keep a hold of the 23-year-old.
This isn’t the first time that Newcastle have been linked with Sarr. They reportedly tried to sign him twice during the Mike Ashley era, but failed with bids in 2017 and 2019.

He’ll cost a huge amount of money in 2022 if we make a move, but the Senegal international could be a massively worthwhile investment.
Ismaila Sarr would fit in brilliantly at Newcastle
Newcastle already have some great attacking players in their ranks.
Callum Wilson is a lethal goalscorer when fit, while Allan Saint-Maximin is one of the most exciting players in the Premier League today.
But, at the moment, we don’t have anyone who can match their levels of excellence on the right.

Miguel Almiron often played out there during Steve Bruce’s tenure and failed to impress, while Joelinton normally operates on the left. As for Ryan Fraser, he’s really struggled whenever he’s donned the black and white stripes.
But Ismaila Sarr would walk into our starting XI. He’s been excellent down the right for Watford this season, scoring four goals already, including one against Newcastle.
He was impressive in the Championship last season too, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists.
Sarr has proven to be a strong investment by Watford, costing £30million in 2019. He’ll cost a lot more than that now, but he could be worth it for Newcastle.

At 23, he still has a long way to go in his career and can still improve. That’s tantalising prospect considering the level he’s already at.
Scoring and creating goals, Sarr causes teams a plethora of problems with his pace and power, and could compliment an already talented Newcastle attack.
A front three of Saint-Maximin, Wilson and Sarr could become one of the most devastating in the Premier League. This is a player that the new Toon owners must seriously pursue when the transfer window swings open.
