Newcastle United take on Leeds United on Friday night in the Premier League.
The Magpies are still looking for their first victory of the season.
It’s been an awful start, and only Norwich City are below Newcastle in the table at the moment.
Steve Bruce’s side face a Leeds outfit that have also struggled so far.
The Whites haven’t won yet either, but they’ve had a much trickier run of fixtures.
Last season Leeds beat Newcastle 5-2 and 2-1.
They’ll undoubtedly see this game as a potential season kick-starter, and Newcastle will need to watch out.
One man in particular who is likely to be a threat is Jack Harrison.
The winger was a real thorn in Newcastle’s side in 2020/21.
In the 5-2 at Elland Road he scored a stunning goal from outside the box. His left-footed strike sailed into the top corner, giving Karl Darlow absolutely no chance.
And earlier in the game, he fired in a brilliant cross on the half-volley for striker Rodrigo to score.
In the 2-1 at St. James’ Park, he scored the match-winning goal, controlling the ball and unleashing a half-volley into the far corner from an angle.
Get him shackled
Newcastle need to be keeping Harrison in check on Friday.
Last season they gave the £11 million man (BBC Sport) far too much space to cause problems.
Other threats like Raphinha will need nullifying too, but Harrison is a proven performer against the Magpies.
Presuming he starts, it will be on the likes of Jacob Murphy/Javier Manquillo and Fabian Schar/Federico Fernandez to deal with him much better. The warning signs are there.
