It seems the Whites are keen to build on their great first season back in the Premier League by bringing in a solid, no-nonsense defender, which would be wise given how they’ve been quite porous.
Newcastle need to beat Leeds to Colley
Newcastle should start making tracks over Colley.
It’s claimed (TMW) Leeds have made a concrete ‘survey’ in recent days, so time could be of the essence.
The transfer window is obviously not open, but clubs undertake work on transfers all the time behind the scenes.
6ft 3in Colley would significantly bolster Newcastle’s fragile backline and likely help the Magpies become tough to beat again.
