Some Newcastle fans hope the club sign Josh King this summer after the forward was released by Everton.
With the season coming to an end, Premier League clubs up and down the country are announcing their retained list.
Big names such as Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho and David Luiz feature on the list, alongside Newcastle’s Andy Carroll.
But the name interesting Toon fans at the minute is Josh King.

He was signed for a nominal fee in February, as Carlo Ancelotti looked to bolster his attack.
Sadly for both parties, the move was a bit of a flop.
King played 11 times for Everton, with all of his appearances coming off the bench. Even more worryingly, he failed to score a single goal.
However, he has proven in the past that he can score goals in the Premier League when he is given a proper chance.
Twice for Bournemouth he hit double figures, including an impressive tally of 16 back in the 2016/17 season. That’s better than Callum Wilson’s best total in the top flight.
But could King and Wilson be reunited next season?

Newcastle will reportedly be offered King
According to the Chronicle, King will be offered to the Magpies. And a lot of fans are keen on a deal.
Considering our lack of funds, a move for King would make sense. He would certainly improve a forward line that has relied heavily on Wilson.
King can play through the middle, just off the striker, or even out wide. He’s versatile and has a point to prove after a tough year following Bournemouth’s relegation in 2020.
His former boss Eddie Howe was certainly a big fan.
After a 2-2 draw with Newcastle back in 2019 in which King scored both Cherries goals, Howe told Match of the Day: “Josh is outstanding physically, technically and mentally – he has the complete package, a little bit of everything.”
He might not be a revolutionary signing by Newcastle, but he would certainly be a welcome addition. With reports that King will be offered to the Magpies, these fans below will be praying the club make a move.
