Elliot Anderson did something so many of us have dreamt of doing this season. He made his debut for Newcastle United.
The youngster has made two substitute appearances for the Magpies, both coming against Arsenal at the Emirates.
The 18-year-old is arguably the biggest prospect in the club’s academy right now, and seems destined for big things at St James’ Park.
He looked comfortable in possession up against a big club like Arsenal, despite such little experience.

However, Anderson hasn’t featured since January 18th.
This was much to the anger of some fans, who wanted to see him feature back in March.
The Magpies had limited options in attack, with Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin joining Callum Wilson on the injury list.
This led to a lot of fans expecting to see Anderson feature. However, that did not happen.
Instead, Anderson has been playing for the youth sides once again.

But with Premier League safety now confirmed, the final three games feel like the perfect time for Steve Bruce to give Anderson a chance.
As one fan said on Twitter, we’ve got nothing to lose.
The only way we’ll know if Anderson is ready for Premier League football is if we give him a chance.
He has been linked with a loan move to the Championship, with Luton Town reportedly keen.
That might be a good move for him. However, he deserves the chance between now and the end of the season to prove he can already play a part at Newcastle.
