Miggy, Miggy, Miggy. Just where has it gone wrong for Miguel Almiron?
The Paraguayan attacker looked like a revelation last season after his January move from Atlanta United. His pace and dribbling ability gave Newcastle another gear.

Alongside Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez, they were the three amigos. We had a potent front three. But two have them have since departed and a new manager is in the dugout. Almiron remains, but he looks a shadow of the player he once was.
The 25-year-old’s confidence has gone as he still searches for that elusive first goal in black and white. And with every poor performance, the pressure mounts. Enough could be enough for Steve Bruce.
According to the Daily Star, the Newcastle boss may drop Almiron for the trip to Leicester this weekend.

After the Brighton performance, it’s clear that something needs to change. But is dropping Almiron the answer? He has really struggled this season, and taking him out the firing line might be a good thing. But on the other hand, it’s not as if we’re blessed with options to replace him.
A lot of fans aren’t happy with reports that the £21 million man could be dropped, and have let their opinions be known on Twitter. The majority don’t agree with Bruce’s reported plan.
