The Algerian winger is enjoying a sensational season with Brentford, who are currently six points off top spot in the Championship.
If all goes to plan, the Bees will be a Premier League team next season, and they already have players like Benrahma who are ready for the step up.
However, the 24-year-old might not have to rely on promotion to play in the Premier League.
According to the Sun, Newcastle are interested in Benrhama, and are willing to offer Brentford £15million for his services. The report also states that Leicester are keen.
The only way this deal seems possible is if Brentford fall short in the race for promotion. Even then, £15million doesn’t seem enough for a player of Benrahma’s quality.
A few Toon fans have commented on the rumour, believing the £15million fee mooted is less than he’s worth. But the overall feeling is that he’s a player who would really improve Newcastle’s attack.
