Will he stay or will he go? That is the question surrounding Andy Carroll right now.
The striker’s contract expires at the end of the season, having only agreed a one-year stay when he returned last summer.
However, the Northern Echo claim that Steve Bruce wants to keep Carroll around next season.

The 31-year-old has been an influential figure both on and off the pitch, but hasn’t provided the goals we need.
In fact, he’s barely even came close to opening his account this season. However, he has been the creator on more than one occasion, providing four assists.
But does he deserve a new deal at St James’ Park? Personally, I think he does – providing another striker joins the club as well.
However, there are a lot of fans who think Carroll should go in the summer. And it’s easy to understand why.

The academy graduate has had his usual injury problems, and isn’t scoring the goals we need. All the while, he’s taking up a squad place that could go to someone else.
Ultimately, the decision will come down to Bruce and Lee Charnley. But these fans have made their feelings known.
