Newcastle United have today lost 5-1 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The Magpies slipped to their third straight defeat in the competition, and it was undoubtedly one of the worst performances under Eddie Howe so far.

Newcastle actually took the lead through Fabian Schar from a free-kick.
But Spurs hit back fairly quickly through Ben Davies, with the teams going in 1-1 at half-time.
Spurs then completely took the game by the scruff of the neck, scoring through Matt Doherty, Heung-min Son and Emerson Royal.
Newcastle were second-best all over the park and Howe has some serious work to do on the training ground ahead of the game with Wolves.
There really were some rotten displays today from the visitors, and here are a few players who can have no complaints if they were dropped on Friday.
Javier Manquillo
Manquillo had a torrid afternoon down in north London.
The £35,000-a-week Spaniard was preferred to Emil Krafth at right-back, who has actually been in fairly decent form during Newcastle’s recent upturn.

There will now be calls to restore the Swede, with Manquillo worryingly poor against Spurs.
He was completely asleep for Spurs’ second goal, allowing Doherty to ghost in behind him to score a header.
He didn’t make it past the hour mark before being replaced.
Jonjo Shelvey
Shelvey has enjoyed some really good form since Howe’s arrival, but this was a really poor display from the midfielder.
He started today having recovered from illness earlier this week, but perhaps that had an affect on his fitness.

He just couldn’t get anywhere near the Spurs players around him and could assert any kind of authority in the match
Bruno Guimaraes started from the bench today. And it would be a very big surprise if he didn’t come into the team against Wolves. And Shelvey would be a lucky man to keep his place.
Dan Burn
Without any shadow of a doubt his worst display since he signed.
Newcastle fans have grown used to Dan Burn being extremely dominant in black and white.

But the 29-year-old was just all over the shop. He and Schar were really bad positionally in the second-half.
It’s possible his form previously could spare him from being on the bench against Wolves.
But taking this display in isolation, it’s hard to argue against Burn dropping to the bench for the next game.
