Yasir Al-Rumayyan is the chairman of Newcastle United and here is everything you need to know about him.

After years of protests and some agonising near misses, Mike Ashley finally sold Newcastle United in October 2021, sparking wide celebrations outside St. James’ Park and throughout the city.

The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, or PIF, had finally completed their takeover of the club with the help of Amanda Staveley.

Though Staveley was the public face of the new ownership initially, Yasir Al-Rumayyan was always the power behind the takeover and the person calling the shots.

With Staveley’s shares since sold, Al-Rumayyan is now the only face of PIF’s ownership of Newcastle and serves as the club’s chairman.
