Newcastle booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with victory over Oxford on Tuesday night.
The Magpies will face Championship leaders West Brom in the next round, a much trickier tie for Steve Bruce after back-to-back League One opponents.
The fifth round of the FA Cup will take place in the middle of the week rather than the weekend, and West Brom have confirmed when the game will take place.
We head to the Hawthorns on Tuesday March 3rd for an 8pm kick off. However, the official West Brom Twitter account issued a polite reminder to the travelling Newcastle fans.
They tweeted: “We would like to remind NUFC supporters The Hawthorns is a windmill-free zone.”
This is in response to one Toon fan’s celebration following Allan Saint-Maximin’s winner against Oxford.
The Frenchman won the game with a stunning solo effort, jinking past two defenders before firing a rocket past the despairing goalkeeper.
As soon as it hit the net, Saint-Maximin raced down the pitch to celebrate in front of the travelling Toon Army.
While most fans were jumping up and down in jubilation, one supporter took a different approach. Instead of hugging a mate or at most taking his top off, the supporter decided to…well you’ve all seen the footage by now.
The clip was all over social media after the final whistle, with some people in disbelief at what they had just witnessed.
West Brom’s tweet is a good bit of banter from the Baggies’ social media man, but hopefully their polite reminder is taken on board by one fan in particular.
