Watch Sean Longstaff’s hilarious request to Joelinton minutes after his USA arrival

Newcastle United’s Joelinton was greeted by Sean Longstaff as he arrived in Atlanta for the PL Summer Series after sorting out his visa issue.

The smiling Brazilian was pictured in the airport on his way out of England by fans who spotted the Newcastle star in the departure lounge which confirmed that the 26-year-old was heading Stateside.

The Official Newcastle United Twitter page posted a short video of Joelinton arriving at the hotel to be greeted by the coaching staff and a few players, captioned “So good to have you back with the group, Joey”.

Sean Longstaff was one of the first players to greet Joelinton as he went to find his room. Still pulling his suitcase behind him, Longstaff tried to convince his fellow midfielder to join him in a game of baseball.

After a nine hour flight, landing in the middle of a heatwave and before he’d even seen his room, Longstaff is begging the poor lad to come out and play like a kid on Christmas morning with a new bike.

Now that Joelinton is where he needs to be he will probably still miss out on the game against Aston Villa on Sunday having missed the first couple of days of training in the Atlanta heat, but it’s good to know he’s where he belongs.

Newcastle’s Premier League Summer Series kicks off at Midnight UK time as Newcastle take on the very side that they’ll be facing on the opening day of the Premier League season.

The Magpies will face three Premier League sides in the space of a week starting with Villa then on to Chelsea at 1:15am UK time on Thursday and Brighton at 12:30am on Saturday. There are going to be some Geordies with bags under their eyes going into work on Monday.
