Newcastle United are sweating on the fitness of Sean Longstaff right now after he suffered an ankle injury in the defeat to Bournemouth.
The 26-year-old looked to be in serious trouble during the 2-0 loss prior to the international break. He went down in agony after blocking a pass, and looked to be the latest Newcastle player to suffer an injury.
Sean Longstaff was incredibly able to carry on, but it transpired after the game that he was injured and is now a doubt to face Chelsea on November 25th.
It will be a huge blow if Longstaff is missing, but the most important thing is that he is not out of action long-term. He has once again proven himself to be a key player for the Magpies, and it would be hugely detrimental if he was ruled out for an extended period of time.
Fortunately, a new report from Newcastle World suggests that we might only be without Longstaff for one game.

Sean Longstaff could return from injury when Newcastle face PSG
According to Newcastle World, there is a chance that Longstaff could return from his ankle injury in time to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on November 28th.
It is set to be a key night for the Magpies in Paris, as they look to rescue their European campaign and record a remarkable double over PSG.
Eddie Howe’s side beat the Ligue 1 champions at St James’ Park, with Longstaff scoring a famous goal in front of the Gallowgate on an iconic night for the club.
Now the local lad could be back in time to face them away from home, which will delight Howe. The Newcastle manager has a huge amount of trust in Longstaff, and recently gave him the captain’s armband for the Carabao Cup win over Manchester United. He has also described Longstaff as a player with ‘unique’ qualities, and they are qualities we will hopefully see in Paris next week.
Once club football returns, it is going to be a massive week for Newcastle. First it is Chelsea at home, followed by a trip to Paris for a ginormous Champions League tie.
After that it is back to St James’ Park to face Manchester United, and Newcastle World add that Longstaff will be available for that game if he does not return in time for PSG.
