According to the Guardian, Tottenham have scouted Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.

With Real Madrid and Manchester United appointing new permanent managers, Tottenham fans can now look forward to having Mauricio Pochettino as their boss for a bit longer.

But it’s fair to say that the fans aren’t struck by this list of players that the club have reportedly been scouting.

As well as Longstaff, the Guardian state that Spurs have been watching: Kieran Tierney, David Brooks, Jack Grealish, Harvey Barnes, Jarrod Bowen and Max Aarons.

The likes of Grealish and Tierney have been tipped for the top for a while now, so the fact that Longstaff is also part of the conversation is testament to his ability.

The midfielder is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, but hopefully he starts next season in the black and white of Newcastle rather than the white of Spurs.
