Some Newcastle fans on Twitter are far from happy with the news that Allan Saint-Maximin will be missing for Friday night’s game against Crystal Palace.
The Magpies head into this game with an already depleted squad with the likes of Ryan Fraser and Andy Carroll ruled out.
Add that into the fact that Steve Bruce has confirmed that a number of his players are self-isolating, and the Tyneside outfit’s chances of getting a win at Selhurst Park begin to look rather slim.
The report also states that Bruce was planning on dropping the Frenchman in any case, but that’s a completely separate issue that will certainly be debated in the coming days and weeks.
The manager will have to hope that Callum Wilson comes back into the squad fit and firing as his attacking options are now severely limited against a Palace side that are notoriously good at defending.
Understandably, some of the St James’ Park faithful were gutted to hear that their star winger won’t be featuring against the London club.
Things just get worse and worse I’d understand if there was someone decent to take his place 🤦♂ I despair
