It’s been confirmed that Kelland Watts has returned to Newcastle from his loan spell at Stevenage.
The defender did return to Newcastle over Christmas while he recovered from injury, actually taking part in first-team training. That led to some speculation that he could feature in the Premier League.

But that didn’t happen, and Watts made his Stevenage return last weekend against Colchester United.
However, it has now been confirmed that the youngster is officially back at Newcastle, with Shola Ameobi making the decision to end the loan early.
This is becoming a recurring theme for the Magpies, with Elias Sorensen’s spell at Carlisle also getting cut short.
But while Sorensen struggled in Cumbria, it seems like Watts has earned a lot of fans for his performances in League Two. Following the announcement, multiple Stevenage fans reacted with positive messages about the Newcastle player, tipping him for a bright future.
