Newcastle United fans likely won’t be seeing Isaac Hayden and Ryan Fraser take to the field in any of the next two games.
Manager Steve Bruce has spoken to the press this morning and provided an update on the conditions of the duo.

He said (via BBC Newcastle’s Matthew Raisbeck): “They haven’t joined in (with full training).
“They’re both probably raring to go but with five days to go… why risk them? I wouldn’t be risking it with the two of them.”
Neither Hayden, 26, nor £42,000-a-week star Fraser (Spotrac) have featured for Newcastle since the shocking 3-0 defeat to Brighton in March.
Hayden suffered damage to his knee and had to be taken off against the Seagulls after Yves Bissouma fell into him, while Fraser suffered a groin injury during the last international break.
Thankfully Newcastle’s Premier League status has already been retained, which makes it understandable neither player will be risked.

It’s a frustrating end to the season for Fraser in particular, who has been limited to just 22 appearances in his debut season for the club.
The Scottish livewire has completed 90 minutes just four times across all competitions, and he’ll hopefully be in for a much more productive campaign in 2021/22.
