Atmosphere at St. James' Park against Tottenham could be spine-tingling

Newcastle United supporters could blow the roof off St. James’ Park when Tottenham come to Tyneside for the first match after the international break.

The hysteria of the imminent takeover will never go away, we’ve had to witness and endure too much pain to not appreciate the dawning of a new exciting era.

If Manchester United fans thought they could create an electric atmosphere for the emotional homecoming of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Geordies could blow that out the water when to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side come to town.

St. James’ Park will be a cauldron of noise, but it always is, but instead of going into a match fearing the worst and worrying where the club goes next, this will feel very different.

It looks inevitable that once the takeover is made official that the new owners will make some drastic changes that will include Steve Bruce being relieved of his duties.

Whoever takes the reigns, it might even be Antonio Conte, we can dream, will be given an unrivalled wave of support.

After going into the international break winless, the club needed a lift but there has been multiple times where fans have probably pinched themselves in the last 24 hours scarcely believing what is happening.

Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley, Bruce and maybe even the players were probably worried about what the Tottenham game would bring, could things turn nasty.

But the club can dream and believe it will have the infrastructure to get back amongst the big hitters once again.

The players will get a massive lift playing in front of a roaring atmosphere and amidst all the hysteria, we need to get points on the board.

This isn’t a false dawn, but its the dawning of a new era and the match against Tottenham which will be shown live on Sky Sports promises to be a surreal experience which can only galvanise our players to produce a performance to match.
