Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is well and truly under pressure at St. James’ Park – if not from Mike Ashley, then absolutely from the fans.
The 60-year-old oversaw yet another defeat last night against Aston Villa, who ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at Villa Park.

Newcastle have now not won a game since December 12 – 10 matches ago in all competitions.
The Magpies are looking devoid of confidence, direction and inspiration, as all areas of the team struggle.
The usually solid defence is leaking goals, midfield is struggling to create and the attack is lacking a cutting edge when the chances do eventually come.
Interestingly, it is now being reported by the Shields Gazette that Newcastle aren’t allowing written media into Bruce’s press conference tomorrow, but radio and broadcasters will continue as normal.

That comes after the manager had stated after the defeat to Brentford in the Carabao Cup that he would accept criticism that comes his way (Express & Star).
It is a suggestion that Bruce is in actual fact not prepared to face the difficult questions, and some fans believe that it could be a sign that the end is near:
