Ryan Fraser has now shared how he truly feels about Eddie Howe after the pair fell out at Newcastle United and the winger was sent out on loan.

Fraser has been enjoying life down in the Championship with Southampton this season but there have always been questions asked about what really happened between him and Howe at Newcastle.

In a recent interview with Southampton, the winger revealed how he still had huge respect for his former boss and that he will ‘always cherish’ the time they had spent together.

Fraser says there are now hard feelings towards Howe

All seemed to be going well at Newcastle with Fraser playing regularly under Howe until one day he was banished to the Under-21s and would never make another appearance for the club.

The media have all had their say in what went on between the two, but Fraser has claimed that nobody outside of them truly knows what happened and that they have only guessed.

However, the 29-year-old was full of praise for his former manager, claiming that he had been ‘unbelievable’ for his career and that he was disappointed with how things had ended at the club.

Having fallen out at both Bournemouth and Newcastle it does make you wonder if things had taken a personal turn, but from the outside all looks perfectly amicable now despite what the rumours were at the time.

In the interview, Fraser said: “Then obviously with the Eddie thing at the end, the media don’t know what’s happened so they couldn’t come out and say what’s happened, it was just that I was down in the Under-21s, so a lot of people just jump to things – they believe what they want to believe, because everyone’s got an opinion.

“He was unbelievable for me. I did well for him, I learned from him, so it’s sad that it’s ended but it has ended now. It’s something I’ll always cherish, the years we had.”

Fraser is excelling away from Newcastle

Fraser looks to be back to enjoying his football once again and is really impressing away from the Premier League club as he has worked his way into Southampton’s starting lineup under Russell Martin.

The winger has scored seven times in 25 appearances so far this season and has been a ley player in helping the Saints break a new club record after going 21 games unbeaten in a row.

Ironically enough, Newcastle are very short of attackers at the moment and possibly could have even used Fraser as a backup option for Miguel Almiron who is playing every game at the minute.

But after what he went through with Howe, there was no looking back for either of them and any possible future he had with Newcastle was gone.
