Some Newcastle United fans on Twitter have laughed off reports linking Sean Longstaff with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The young midfielder has recently signed to a new agent in Pini Zahavi, and reports are claiming that his new representative has promised his client a move to the north London giants.
United fans believe that Zahavi is living in dreamland if he thinks he can get Longstaff a move to Tottenham.
Unfortunately, it seems as though many supporters believe he’s simply not good enough to play for Jose Mourinho’s side, and as much as Longstaff is highly-rated, that’s a fair assessment.
Spurs’ midfield is packed full of talent with the World Cup winners such as Moussa Sissoko and other highly-paid stars such as Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and that’s before you even start to mention young up and comers such as Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp.
Usually, reports linking a top player like Longstaff with a move away from St James’ Park would be cause for concern, but it seems as though some United fans believe this is a bit too farfetched considering Spurs’ stature and Longstaff’s quality.
