Newcastle United can once again boast having two Brazilian internationals in the heart of their midfield as Joelinton was received a second call-up.
After making his debut for Brazil earlier this year Newcastle midfielder Joelinton has received another call-up to represent his country.
For Newcastle fans this was a no-brainer, but judging by the reactions of Joelinton’s family on his Instagram reels, he wasn’t as confident.

Joelinton posted a couple of videos on his reels last night of his family watching the Brazilian squad announcement and going wild when J7’s name was mentioned.
As the squad was announced yesterday the man who scored a goal on his international debut had been handed another chance to impress the interim Brazil boss, Fernando Diniz.

Joelinton posted an image on Instagram with the caption: “Happy and Proud for another opportunity to wear the shirt of the BRAZILIAN SELECTION” and amongst the words of congratulations was of course his Newcastle team mate and best friend, Bruno Guimaraes who said “Come on, brother!” and a message from former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho,
Rivaldo took the time to react to Joelinton’s Brazil call-up
However the message that really stood out was a series of applauding hand emojis from World Cup winning legend Rivaldo.
Rivaldo, who was once linked with a move to Newcastle before signing for AC Milan, won many trophies in his career: the World Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, La Liga and a Ballon d’Or among many others.
Joelinton will definitely be hoping to follow in his footsteps, perhaps starting off by winning the Premier League this season?
