The familiar faces are out in force as takeover talk rumbles on at Newcastle United.
Richard Keys is a man who needs no introduction. He’s also a man who doesn’t get on well with the Toon Army because of his comments during the Rafa Benitez era.
But the former Sky Sports presenter has weighed in on the takeover debate, providing fresh ‘insight’ into when a deal might happen.

But while all the talk has been about the Saudi Sovereign Wealth fund, Keys doesn’t believe they are leading the chase to purchase the club from Mike Ashley.
Keys tweeted: “No takeover could ever happen in 48 hours. The front runners to buy are still at the table – & it’s not the Saudi’s as I said last week. It’s the same group who hoped to have a deal done by Jan. Next time to start getting excited is mid Feb.”
Keys’ comments are somewhat interesting.
If it isn’t the Saudi group who are leading there chase, why did so much information about their takeover attempt come out last week?
And why would he know when Toon fans should start getting excited about a deal being completed?
If Keys is correct in what he’s saying, then good times could be on the horizon. But why should he be trusted?

Just like in the past, these kind of comments during a takeover saga are dangerous for fans. Supporters are desperate for information and they are desperate for change.
So many times before, sweeping statements like this have been made that have ultimately failed to come to fruition. And it’s the fans who lose out in the end, not the person who made the claim.
If Keys is bang on with his comments then happy days. But for now, fans should know better than to hang their hats on his prediction.
