Newcastle United-linked winger Steven Bergwijn starred for the Netherlands last night, scoring a brace against Denmark.
The Tottenham Hotspur winger helped his country to a 4-2 victory over their opponents in what was a highly entertaining game.
Bergwijn showed that he was up for the game early on when he jinked inside a defender and tested Kasper Schmeichel from range.

Just moments later, he would open the scoring.
Daley Blind provided a cross from the left side, and Bergwijn ghosted in to score a brilliant header.
Nathan Ake and Memphis Depay scored after Jannik Vestergaard had equalised for the visitors.
In the second-half, there was a lovely moment when Christian Eriksen scored just two minutes after entering the action.
The midfielder was appearing for the first time since those horrible scenes at Euro 2020 when he suffered a cardiac arrest.
The final goal of the game came on 71 minutes, with Bergwijn curling in a lovely effort from the left side.
He doesn’t get too many games for Spurs these days. But the 24-year-old looked like he had something to prove last night.

Given his lack of game time at Tottenham, there has been a bit of speculation he could be moving on at the end of the season.
Newcastle were actually linked with the player during the January transfer window. Apparently the Magpies were considering taking him on loan.
Ultimately nothing materialised, but his performance last night might just suggest him as being worthy of a pursuit this summer.
Bergwijn a player for Newcastle to keep watching
It’s difficult for Bergwijn at Spurs competing with Heung-min Son.
The club have also just brought in Dejan Kulusevski, which is another barrier for in terms of getting regular minutes.
He probably hasn’t quite hit the mark since moving to the north London club for £27 million (BBC Sport).

But his display for the Netherlands last night was something of a reminder of his talent.
We have seen it in bursts from him during his time in English football. Perhaps a change of scenery is what he needs, and St. James’ Park could serve as a new lease of life for him this summer.
