Newcastle United have recently been linked with a move for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
The central defender is apparently on the Magpies’ radar heading into the summer transfer window (The Athletic).

The 23-year-old regularly impressed for the Cottagers despite their ultimate relegation from the Premier League.
He is expected to leave the club, as he has proven himself capable in the English top-flight.
He’s open to leaving, and it remains to be seen if Newcastle will come in with an offer.

Perhaps they ought to, as the end-of-season statistics came through yesterday on Sky Sports.
Interestingly, Tosin actually finished 2020/21 with the most clearances of any player with 193.
According to the Premier League, that’s 23 more than the player in second, Tyrone Mings (170).
The ex-Manchester City youngster made 33 appearances in the competition, meaning he averaged nearly six clearances per game.
Tosin is worth considering
This statistic is very impressive.

It shows that there is a real alertness about Tosin in dangerous situations.
It’s vital to have defenders who can regularly clear their lines, and hopefully Newcastle will consider acting on their supposed interest in a clearly promising player.
