However, the Manchester Evening News claim this is not the case. They report that a Saudi-backed takeover is ‘not on the table’ at Old Trafford.

However, that hasn’t stopped some Toon fans worrying that their prospective buyers could move on to Manchester United.
With the Newcastle takeover at the arbitration stage after collapsing last year, it is still uncertain whether or not PCP Capital Partners will be able to buy the Magpies.
As the uncertainty continues, the Toon Army will ponder what may happen in the coming months.
But despite fan concerns, there seems to be no chance of a Saudi-backed takeover at Manchester United. However, there is still chance of one happening at St James’ Park.
