According to Sky Sports, Rafa Benitez might not have to wait long to get back into management.

His departure from Newcastle was confirmed by the club on Monday lunchtime, leading to uproar from Toon fans. And rightly so.

Mike Ashley has failed this club once again. His incompetence as an owner has seen our best manager since Sir Bobby Robson slip through our fingers.

We’ll be starting next season with a new manager. Who knows who it will be, but he certainly won’t be of the same calibre as Rafa.

But what does the future hold for the Spaniard?

Benitez could be heading to the far east

Sky Sports have reported that Benitez is ‘increasingly likely’ to accept the offer of managing Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League. He has allegedly been offered a £25milllion-a-year contract, but can’t speak to any other clubs until his Newcastle contract expires on Sunday.

The fact Benitez already has a job pretty much lined up says it all. How can every fan see how important he was to Newcastle, except for Ashley?

If the club worked as hard as they said they did to keep him at the club, then Benitez would’ve signed a new deal.

But alas, he’s off. The dream is over. He’ll work wonders at another club, while the only way appears to be down for the Magpies.
