Newcastle United have been tirelessly working on a plan for the January transfer window, and another club’s manager has just handed them a setback.
The January transfer window is shaping up to be a difficult one for Newcastle United, as PSR issues continue to hamper any plans.
That’s not to say no January transfer window business will be done, but it may require some sales for any meaningful incomes to come about.
Sean Longstaff may be one of the casualties, as he’s supposedly been offered to a number of clubs ahead of January in the hope of raising some funds.
Although, it appears as if one signing may be out of reach of the Magpies in January, as a Premier League boss has just made a comment on one of his players.

Russell Martin reveals Tyler Dibling’s price tag
Newcastle have been linked with a move for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling after his fine start to life in the Premier League at St Mary’s.
It has been claimed that £21 million would seal the deal for the winger in January.

However, that’s not the case, as Russell Martin has provided an update on the youngster’s situation after hearing of the £21 million rumour in his press conference.
Speaking ahead of Southampton’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur, Martin stated that he’s not sure Manchester United would get his left foot for £21 million.
“I heard rumours of Manchester United ready to send £21m bid for Tyler Dibling… I’m not sure they’d get his left foot for that”.
Out of Newcastle United’s price range at £42 million plus
PSR issues are really holding Newcastle United back.
Paul Mitchell can either splash the cash now and be forced to sanction a big exit, or wait until the summer and be more free with the spending at Newcastle.
The only issue is that the current squad isn’t proving to be a European challenging one, which has made the situation even more complicated ahead of January.
Newcastle were hoping to raise £10 million from Callum Wilson, but his injury has halted that.
Eddie Howe even came out recently and said he doesn’t want to lose any of his main players, so a move for Dibling now looks out of reach unless something dramatic happens.
