Newcastle United are preparing for a very busy summer window both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

There have been rumours suggesting that they could be forced to sell one of their star players to reinvest some money into other areas of the squad, though they’d like to avoid that at all costs.

A new report from HITC is now claiming that Chelsea have been really impressed with Bruno Guimaraes’ performances for Newcastle as they look to get back up the Premier League table next season.

Newcastle fear losing star man this summer

Newcastle don’t want to lose any of their key players with Bruno, Alexander Isak and Sven Botman all suggested as being possible options to raise funds in the next window.

While selling one would give them more room in the transfer market, it would massively set Newcastle back after working hard to seek out the best talents in the last couple of years.

Bruno had already been linked with moves to Barcelona and PSG in the past as it has been rumoured that he has a £100m release clause in his contract, though the details of the clause are not entirely clear.

Newcastle obviously don’t want to have to sell the Brazilian international, but they certainly won’t want to sell to Chelsea whatsoever who are likely to be their competition for the European spots in years to come.

There are few players in the modern era of football who truly care for what they do as much as Bruno does and it really does show in his performances on the pitch for Newcastle.

He may leave in the future but regardless of if that is his decision or not, nobody could question his passion for Newcastle while wearing the shirt and representing the club every time he plays.

He’s exactly the kind of player who can feed off of an atmosphere and when St James’ Park is at its best Bruno is always the key man in the team pushing his teammates on and giving his all.

Newcastle would not only be losing a star player by selling Bruno, they would be losing a fan favourite and an icon on Tyneside who has formed such a strong connection with the fans despite only being here two years now.
