Football Manager 2021 is finally out, and while this time of year is always exciting for any virtual managers, it shouldn’t be forgotten that the game is often used as a scouting tool for some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Indeed, Sports Interactive have a knack of picking out bright young talents, and the Magpies have one player who turns into a star on the game.

Newcastle United are always one of the most intriguing teams to play as on the game, with their fallen giant status and ownership problems, and this year they have a bright young talent who could be a future gem.

We spoke a few weeks ago about Yannick Toure getting a chance in the first-team, and it’s clear that Football Manager believes he is a future star as well.

When you take charge of Newcastle on the game, you get your first development report from your coaching staff and one name that immediately jumps out is Yannick Toure.

Your coaches bombard you with messages raving about how good he is, and the game’s development centre states that he could become a quality player who is potentially as good as Andy Carroll.

If Toure can become as good as Carroll in real-life then Newcastle have a real talent on their hands.

The striker earnt a £35 million move to Liverpool back in 2011, and if Toure can replicate his career, United can’t have any complaints.

Toure certainly has the physical acumen to be a target man in the mould of Carroll, after all, he has previously been compared to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Let’s hope that Football Manager is right about this one.
