PIF have an issue to worry about at Newcastle United as David Ornstein has some news.
Eddie Howe is starting to get his Newcastle United side playing the way fans have been accustomed to at St James’ Park, with back-to-back wins over Leicester and Brentford.
However, another tough fixture awaits in the Premier League, as a trip to Ipswich Town is on the cards.
Kieran McKenna has got his Ipswich side playing some attractive football this season, and Omari Hutchinson is one to watch out for on the left-hand side of midfield.
However, it’s an off the field issue that’s dominating the news ahead of the game, as PIF have been thrown into the limelight at St James’ Park.
Agent fees unpaid since September at Newcastle United
PIF’s controversies are normally away from Newcastle United, but now the club has been brought into focus after an update from David Ornstein.
It’s being claimed that reps of multiple Newcastle players are scratching their head over unpaid agent fees due in September.
However, there’s been no explanation why or when it’s coming.
It is believed to be a financial processing issue at ownership level , not related to PSR or cash.

That’s not the only issue for Newcastle and PIF
There’s also an issue with imaging rights at the club.
Ornstein explains that some big-name squad members who are partially remunerated via image rights have experienced a delay, although that’s being resolved.
He goes on to state.
‘The club say deposits have now been made or are on the way and accept their communication should have been better. There are also player camps who have been unaffected or seen their situations rectified more quickly than others.
‘Among those involved, the matter has created some confusion because it is out of keeping with their experience at Newcastle so far and particularly considering the ownership’s wealth.’
It’s all very confusing, as you’d think this wouldn’t be an issue for such rich owners.
Another worry that supporters and the club don’t need at this moment in time, with PSR already causing enough concern as we approach January.
