Tino Livramento’s brilliance at Newcastle United is not only limited to what happens on the pitch.
It’s getting increasingly difficult to think of a more important player at Newcastle United than Livramento, although Bruno Guimaraes does have a strong case too.
The England international is arguably the best full-back in the Premier League and Newcastle’s improved form since his return from injury can hardly be a coincidence.
What do you make of Tino Livramento’s comments when asked about his Newcastle United future?
Indeed, Livramento makes Newcastle a better team, along with Lewis Hall on the opposite defensive flank.
Such is the impact he has on the team, Newcastle are in talks to extend Livramento’s contract beyond the summer of 2028.
Now a regular England international, Livramento is growing in stature off the pitch as well as on it.
Tino Livramento taking on more important role behind the scenes at Newcastle United
According to The Chronicle, both Livramento and Hall are growing in importance behind the scenes at the club.
The pair, who both arrived at St James’ Park as young players in 2023, are said to be becoming increasingly influential at the Newcastle United training ground.
Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall need help!
The report cites a gesture Livramento made towards Anthony Elanga during the win over Burnley, where he told his teammate that the team wasn’t tight enough in their shape.
That quickly got sorted after a defensive reshuffle, thanks in part to Livramento’s leadership.
Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento continue to prove Paul Mitchell wrong at Newcastle United
It’s rather incredible to think that former Newcastle sporting director Paul Mitchell had a poor view of the club’s deals to sign Hall and Livramento.
Mitchell thought Newcastle overpaid for Hall and Livramento, which looked a strange claim at the time.
Now, it looks like an even worse take. The pair reportedly cost the club under £80million, which seems a very fair price indeed.

Not only are they excellent players, they seem to be growing into leaders too. It would not be a surprise to see them star for England at next summer’s World Cup, either.
Eddie Howe has yielded vast improvements out of both and their transfer values would only have soared since they joined Newcastle in the summer of 2023.
Of all the signings of the PIF era, Hall and Livramento are two of the best.
