Anthony Gordon is starting to announce himself as a Newcastle United player.
After a difficult first few months following a £40m move from Everton in January, Gordon is coming good for Newcastle.
Having starred for England at the U21 European Championships this summer, the 22-year-old is emerging as a key player for Eddie Howe this time around.

On Sunday, Gordon ran Trent Alexander-Arnold ragged at St James’ Park and the Liverpool defender was lucky not to have been sent off in the first-half.
The Magpies forward then scored the opener after pouncing on Alexander-Arnold’s mistake before playing the incisive pass that ultimately forced Virgil van Dijk to be sent off.
Though there was ultimately disappointment about the result, Gordon can be proud of his performance.
Pat Nevin shares what shocked him about Anthony Gordon
Indeed, it was a brilliant performance from the winger and BBC Sport pundit Pat Nevin admitted he was surprised about one particular area of his game.
Writing in the BBC’s LIVE blog detailing the game, Nevin admitted: “He is certainly someone I had watched a lot at Everton. I hadn’t realised how quick he is. He is absolutely lightning at both ends of the pitch and he is really showing it for Newcastle this season.”

Gordon coming into his own now
As was evident during the Amazon Prime documentary, Newcastle went big to sign Gordon.
Those early few months can’t have been easy but perspective must be applied. He was joining a well-drilled team after leaving his boyhood club under a cloud, making a major life change halfway through what was a difficult campaign up until this point.
Now, however, the landscape has changed. Backed by Howe from the moment he arrived, Gordon is stepping up and proving his worth.
With years of his career left ahead of him, these are hugely exciting times for the player and the club as a whole.
