Former Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has told Sky Sports that he wants to return to the Premier League.
The striker was in the English top flight for four and a half years, all spent at St James’ Park.
Now, at the age of 36, Cisse fancies another shot at the Premier League.
“I’m ready to play football in England, the Premier League, I’m ready,” Cisse told Sky Sports.
“I want to come back to stay with my family.”

Cisse left Newcastle in 2016, following relegation under Rafa Benitez.
He arrived in January 2012, costing £9million from Freiburg.
The new number nine was an instant hit, scoring an excellent volley on his debut against Aston Villa.
This would be the start of a sensational run that saw Cisse score 13 goals in 14 appearances in his first season. That included his world class strike against Chelsea.

After that incredible season, the goals didn’t flow quite as regularly.
In total, the Senegalese striker scored 44 goals in 131 appearances for the Magpies.
Since leaving the North East, Cisse has played in China and Turkey, but now he wants to come back to the Premier League.
But should Newcastle bring him back to St James’ Park? Some Toon fans certainly think so.
We are a striker light, with Andy Carroll seemingly being released.

However, we shouldn’t be living in the past. If we’re going to sign a striker, it should be someone who can benefit the club long term.
Alas, that hasn’t stopped some Toon fans dreaming about seeing Cisse back in black and white shirt.
