The majority of Newcastle United players are back in training but Eddie Howe granted those who were called up for international duty a few more days to recover, although one man didn’t get the memo.
If you ever questioned Kieran Trippier’s commitment to the cause at Newcastle, first of all, how and why? But now you can’t possibly.
Trippier had been called up by Gareth Southgate for England‘s Euro 2024 qualifiers which means he could have taken a few extra days before reporting for duty at Newcastle, but that’s just not how Tripps rolls.
Kieran Trippier is a different class of player
Captain fantastic was pictured training at Benton on day one by The Chronicle. Incredible commitment and leadership.
It’ll never cease to amaze me how we picked up a player of Trippier’s ability and class for just £12million. He has been nothing short of excellent since he arrived. Even when he was out injured he was a constant presence in and around the club as he did his best to lift the spirits of his team.

Gareth Southgate hailed Trippier as ‘outstanding‘ for his performances last season, but for us Newcastle fans it’s not just about what he does on the pitch, it’s about his entire being.
Trippier has offered help and support to Newcastle’s new signing Tonali
He always comes across as knowledgeable and genuine in interviews, he was recently seen offering help and support to Sandro Tonali and his family as he can relate to the feeling of moving to a new country.

The man just oozes class and now to see him turn up and train when he could have been at home with his feet up just shows how committed he truly is.
I just wish we’d signed him earlier so he could play for us even longer. Eddie Howe must be buzzing with what Trippier has brought to Newcastle.
