Nick Woltemade thanked Jacob Murphy for the assist after he scored a brilliant goal in his dream Newcastle United debut, while Yoane Wissa delivered his own verdict.
The club-record signing bagged the winner as Newcastle United beat Wolves 1-0 to get their Premier League season up and running.
Murphy assisted Woltemade’s debut goal for Newcastle and that is an exciting prospect.
Indeed, the winger struck up a brilliant partnership with Alexander Isak during the Swede’s time on Tyneside and the thought of him doing something similar with Woltemade is a tantalising prospect.
Clearly, they’ve got a lot left to prove as a duo, but the early signs are promising.
Indeed, both Woltemade and Wissa were pleased with the 30-year-old on social media.

Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa praise Jacob Murphy’s assist
It was Murphy’s first assist of the season, and he will no doubt hope to produce more now that Newcastle finally have some strikers through the door.
Woltemade was of course the main beneficiary of Murphy’s excellent crossing, but Wissa could benefit too once he’s over the knee injury that ruled him out of the Wolves game.
Murphy captioned an Instagram post: “Winning at home. Best way to start a busy block of games. Thursday next!”
Woltemade responded with: “Thank you.”
Wissa, in reference to Murphy putting in on a plate for Woltemade, wrote: “Room service.”
Yoane Wissa reacts to Nick Woltemade’s first goal for Newcastle United
Wissa is sadly likely to miss the next six games for Newcastle.
The summer signing’s knee injury could rule him out until next month’s international break, which is a major blow for the club.
However, the DR Congo international is supporting from afar. Not only did he send a message to Murphy, he also reacted to Woltemade’s Instagram post as he was celebrating his first goal.
Wissa left a few emojis under the German’s collage of images, underlining how impressed he was with his new teammate.
