Newcastle United attacker Yankuba Minteh is outperforming every single youngster in Europe at something this season.
Minteh has bene enjoying a very successful loan spell at Feyenoord this season during which he has scored seven and assisted a further three, developing into a top talent.
Football Observatory have now posted an impressive stat on X that shows Minteh’s development as he is top of the list, beating every other under-20 player across Europe.
Newcastle have an exciting talent in Minteh
Newcastle are considering signing a new right-winger to replace Miguel Almiron this summer, though they may already have a ready made replacement in Minteh who could save them a lot of money.
As proven by the post, the winger is averaging more key passes per 90 minutes (1.24) than any other youngster in Europe, beating Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal (1.06) who has received huge praise this season.
Newcastle are really lacking a creative spark in their attack at the minute to help them unlock tightly organised defences, but perhaps Minteh could be the answer Eddie Howe has been looking for.
It’s still early days for the 19-year-old who has been criticised by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot for his poor positioning, but with a full pre-season behind him with Newcastle it will be interesting to see how he is utilised in the new campaign.

Minteh could save the Geordies’ summer
Newcastle are currently in the market for a number of positions which they want to improve in the summer, yet their budget is quite limited thanks to the Premier League’s financial rules.
One area that is now desperate for an improvement is at centre-back following the news that Sven Botman, so it’s likely that a large portion of the budget will go there.
However, should Howe view Minteh as an option for next season, they could save a lot of money to spend somewhere else like bring in a new striker to back up Alexander Isak or a defensive midfielder to help out Bruno Guimaraes.
In what will be a hectic season, this could prove to save Newcastle in the new season when they are again hoping to be competing for those Champions League spots.
