Newcastle United key dates for the 2024-25 season: January transfer window, FA Cup draw, international breaks and more

The 2024/25 season is in full flow but there’s still plenty of drama and big days in store for Newcastle United.

It’s been an uneven start for Newcastle United but they now appear to have hit a good run of form at a great time.

With big wins over Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, Eddie Howe’s side are climbing up the Premier League table despite a growing injury list.

In addition, they have reached the final stages of the Carabao Cup and are in the race to win their first piece of silverware in decades.

Here are all the key dates still to come in 2024-25.

2024-25 international breaks

There will be four international breaks during the 2024-25 season. They will be:

• September 2-10
• October 7-15
• November 11-19
• March 17-25

When does the January transfer window open?

Newcastle may be hopeful of making some January signings to help bolster the squad, especially as injuries continue to mount. The window will open on January 1, 2025.

When does the January transfer window close?

The January transfer window closes on deadline day which is Monday, February 3, 2025.

Newcastle Carabao Cup fixtures

Newcastle are going strong in the Carabao Cup and are into the quarter-finals after defeating Nottingham Forest, Wimbledon and Chelsea.

They will take on Brentford in the final eight and here are the remaining League Cup fixtures.

• Quarter-Final: 18 December, vs Brentford
• Semi-Final: 8 January (first leg) & 5 February (second leg)
• Final: 16 March

FA Cup 3rd round

Newcastle will enter the FA Cup in the third round on the weekend of January 11, 2025.

When is the final day of the 2024/25 Premier League season?

The final round of Premier League fixtures will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Newcastle will bring their league campaign to a close at St. James’ Park against Everton.
