Newcastle United midfielder Miguel Almiron has given an interview to Paraguayan TV outlet Somos GEN, and revealed the best player he has faced since coming to the Premier League.
The star spoke about a number of things including where he feels most comfortable playing and the state of play with the national team.
Almiron joined Newcastle in January 2019, transferring from Atlanta United for a reported fee of £20 million (ESPN).

During his two years at the club, he’s made a decent impression and shown flashes of brilliance, but has arguably lacked consistency.
He’ll have a good grasp of who the top players are in the division, and when asked for his view on the cream of the crop, the 26-year-old plumped for Liverpool’s Sadio Mane.
He said (quoted translated by journalist Roberto Rojas): “The best team I played against in the Premier League was Liverpool and the best player I played against was Sadio Mane. The best stadium for me is Old Trafford and I get along well with Paul Pogba, he’s a good person.”
Almiron can learn a lot from Mane
Hopefully, Almiron has been taking notes on the player he deems the best he has faced.

£100,000-a-week star Mane (Spotrac) is a world-class winger who is not only fantastic in one-on-one situations and at finshing, but is arguably one of the hardest-working players in the division too.
Almiron is also a hard worker, but obviously he is currently very far off the Senegalese superstar’s level on the ball.
The South American still has a lot of aspects of his game to improve, and he can do a lot worse than to study the electric Liverpool man.
