Man City will head to St James’ Park for the return fixture on Friday night, and they are set to receive a guard of honour when they walk onto the pitch.
This is two seasons in a row that Newcastle have had to give the champions a guard of honour. They did the same last year when they faced Liverpool on the final day of the season.
But as Manchester City play their first game since winning the title, Newcastle will be playing their first game since securing survival.

The Magpies’ Premier League status was confirmed on Monday night when Fulham were officially relegated.
Now Newcastle can start planning for next season.
This is going to be a huge summer at St James’ Park. There is still the possibility of a takeover, while Bruce’s future is also up in the air.
But before then, Newcastle still have three games to play, starting with Manchester City on Friday.
