According to the Chronicle, Newcastle are set to be offered the chance to sign Josh King, after the forward was released by Everton.
King joined the Toffees on February 1st, but struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park.
He arrived at Everton for a nominal fee, after spending the first half of the season in the Championship with Bournemouth.
Sadly, he failed to score a single league goal all season.

His time at Everton was mainly spent as a substitute, with all 11 of his Premier League appearances coming off the bench.
Now the Norwegian is set to become a free agent after Everton confirmed their retained list.
King will be a man in demand, and he could be a decent option for Newcastle on a free.
Newcastle may have a good chance of signing Josh King
Newcastle were reportedly interested in King last summer, as they looked to bolster their attack.
But instead, they signed King’s Bournemouth teammates Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson.

One year on and Newcastle will get another chance to sign the 29-year-old. And the Chronicle suggest they may have a trump card.
King is reportedly represented by the same German-based agency as Joelinton.
The Chronicle state that Newcastle’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson has good ties with the player’s representatives. That’s no surprise considering he orchestrated a £40million deal for one of their clients…
With money set to be tight this summer, Newcastle could do a lot worse than signing a player King’s talents on a free.
