Newcastle United need to brush off last weekend’s loss to Aston Villa.
In arguably their worst performance of the season, Eddie Howe’s side were well beaten at Villa Park, leaving little more margin for error in the battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Sunday now looks something of an eliminator between Newcastle and Tottenham.

Spurs head to St James’ Park three points behind the Magpies, albeit they have played a game more.
Still, three points for the away side would be a major statement of intent and leave Newcastle chasing heading into the final few games of the season.
Luckily then, Howe appears to have an important player fit and available.
Sean Longstaff fit to start against Tottenham
Speaking at Friday’s pre-match press conference, Howe confirmed Sean Longstaff is fit to start on Sunday.
The 25-year-old did not start at Villa with tonsillitis but is now available from the off once more.
“He’s over his illness and he’s trained well this week. I’ve always maintained he’s a hugely important part of our midfield,” said Howe.
“Both in and out of possession he’s a very intelligent footballer so I think a lot of his off the ball work goes unnoticed.
“On the ball he’s got a really good way of keeping the ball for the team which is an invaluable quality. He’s got an eye for a really progressive pass as well so he helps us go through teams’ structures.”

Longstaff should come straight back into the team
With Bruno Guimaraes not yet fully over his ankle problem, Newcastle need Longstaff.
A huge part of the first-team set-up, the academy graduate helps embody the high-pressure style Howe has instilled into this Newcastle team.
According to FBREF data, Longstaff ranks sixth for ball recoveries in the Newcastle team this season (130). On the ball, only Guimaraes has had more touches in the middle third all season (668), helping keep control of games and alleviating some of the pressure on the defence.
Longstaff hasn’t always convinced but the idea of heading into such a big game without him is now a major worry.
Thankfully, he is fit.
