Newcastle should definitely consider offering former star Hatem Ben Arfa a fresh start.
The Frenchman is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on contract expiry.
His time in the French capital has not worked out, with the player having only made 32 appearances for the club in two seasons, none of which came last term.
Unfortunately the 31-year-old fell victim to PSG’s blockbuster captures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
He also found competition in the form of Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler.
Earlier this year, Chronicle Live reported on the nightmare Ben Arfa endured at the club.

Apparently he had a frosty relationship with Unai Emery which did not help his chances.
It really is a shame what has gone on with Ben Arfa, but Newcastle should definitely consider bringing him back.
The winger utterly dazzled in his two years at St. James’ Park and scored some amazing goals.
What Newcastle would give for someone with the ability to do that now.
Bring him home
Ben Arfa may be the wrong side of 30 now, but he still has incredible natural ability.
Bringing him in for nothing would surely be a risk worth taking – especially with a strong manager like Rafa Benitez at the helm.

Newcastle are crying out for someone with creativity and flair; someone to get the fans going on matchdays.
It’s all a little bit stale at the moment and goalscoring is proving difficult once again.
