Reported Newcastle United target Antony had quite an eventful afternoon today playing for Ajax.
The Brazilian featured for the Eredivisie league leaders against Feyenoord.

Erik ten Hag’s side were looking to respond to their midweek disappointing of going out of the Champions League to Benfica.
And they managed to get the win they needed to stay at the summit ahead of PSV Eindhoven.
It was a thrilling clash that culminated in Antony scoring the winning goal on 86 minutes.
He ghosted in unmarked at the penalty spot to finish with aplomb, and the 22-year-old then proceeded to whip out the iconic Lionel Messi goal celebration (vs Real Madrid, 2017) of holding his shirt aloft to the stadium.
His afternoon would end on a sour note though, with Antony rather embarrassingly getting a second yellow card for time wasting. His first had come as a result of him removing his shirt when he celebrated his goal.
But it was an all-round good display from Antony, who completed 5/6 dribbles and impressive won 10/15 duels (via Sofascore).
He will now miss Ajax’s next game against FC Groningen. That is a blow given what a good season he has been having.
That was his 12th goal of the season so far, and he has also contributed 10 assists.
The star has really been drawing attention to himself with his performances, and recently Calciomercato claimed that Newcastle were one of the teams keen on the South American.

Antony has been a revelation since moving to Ajax in 2020 from Sao Paulo.
He really has become of their key players and is one of the brightest talents currently playing in the Eredivisie.

Newcastle will surely be keen to add to their attacking options in the summer.
If Antony keeps making regular contributions for Ajax, then perhaps Magpies officials will see about making a potential move.
