Newcastle’s game against West Brom on Sunday is their biggest of the season so far.
And the build up has been far from ideal. There’s been injuries to key players, as well as a bust up between Steve Bruce and Matt Ritchie.
There have been multiple reports about what has been happening at the training ground. The Daily Mail gave one side, while the Telegraph gave the other.

Whichever side you believe, this is far from the ideal preparation for a huge game against the Baggies.
But amid the reports of what happened at the training ground, the Telegraph claim that the players haven’t even been there most of the week.
They state that the team got two days off following the draw against Wolves, while Thursday was also a day without training.
Therefore, the Magpies have so far only trained on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. And Tuesday was reportedly the fateful day where Bruce and Ritchie clashed…

Newcastle’s game against West Brom is huge. They need to pick up a win to move further away from the relegation zone. And they need to do it without Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron.
Call me a cynic, but three days off this week hardly seems like the most ideal preparation for the biggest game of the season. Unsurprisingly, a lot of fans agree.
