Newcastle fans react to stunning Michael Ndiweni goal

Newcastle United have posted a sensational goal scored by Michael Ndiweni on their official Twitter account.

The teenager plays for the club’s Under-18s side, who drew 2-2 with Manchester City on Saturday.

It was a decent result for the young Magpies up against a side that will have received a lot more funding than them.

However, that will hopefully change in the coming years with the club’s new owners intending on investing in the academy. And my word does it need it.

But the club are still capable of producing talent, and Ndiweni could be one to watch in the coming years.

The 17-year-old is the Under-18s’ top scorer so far this season, adding another two to his tally against Manchester City.

His first goal is the one that everyone is talking about.

With the Magpies camped deep in their own half, a stray pass from the Man City right back falls into the path of Ndiweni. The forward retrieves possession in the centre circle, takes two touches and produces an incredible chip over the despairing goalkeeper.

It was an incredible strike that led to wet and wild celebrations at a very soggy Newcastle academy.

The video of the goal has proven to be very popular among fans, with some supporters already wanting to see him get a chance in the first-team.

While that is a long way away, hopefully we will see Ndiweni makes his senior Newcastle debut in the coming years.
