Leeds won’t be playing Premier League football next season, but a report has suggested two of their players could make the step up.
According to TeamTalk, Newcastle are interested in both Kalvin Phillips and Jack Clarke, who have impressed this season under Marcelo Bielsa.

Phillips has came on leaps and bounds, with the 23-year-old operating as a centre-back and defensive midfielder. As for Clarke, he hasn’t featured much for Leeds, but seems to be an exciting talent at the age of 18.
The young winger looks destined for great things, but maybe isn’t ready just yet for Premier League football. However, Phillips could certainly make the step up.
TeamTalk’s report surrounded the future of Dwight Gayle, suggesting that the Magpies could complete a swap deal that would see the forward move to Elland Road. However, his wages make this unlikely.

For the same reason, he won’t be joining West Brom either, having spent the past season on loan at the Hawthorns.
So while a swap deal between Newcastle and Leeds seems unlikely for more than one reason, a portion of Toon fans would certainly welcome the pair to St James’ Park.
Hopefully there is more talk of a move for the Leeds duo in the coming weeks from a source closer to the club.

Would 100% do this. Both great players and I think could step up to prem. Especially Phillip’s.
